I offer one-to-one coaching, small group lessons and clinics, working with horses and riders at their own yards or hired venues across the UK and Ireland.

All sessions are approached calmly and thoughtfully, with an emphasis on understanding why things are happening and how to influence them, rather than following fixed formulas or chasing quick results.

Clinics and lessons are suitable for a wide range of horses and riders — from those building solid foundations, through to riders looking to refine communication and remove blocks in educated horses.

Lessons

Alongside clinics, a significant part of my work is one-to-one and small group lessons carried out at individual yards.

Lessons are flexible and can be booked on a regular basis or as one-off sessions, depending on what suits you and your horse. Many clients choose to work this way to develop consistency over time, address specific challenges, or check in periodically as their horse’s training progresses.

Sessions may involve groundwork, ridden work, or a combination of both, and are always guided by what is appropriate and safe for the horse and rider on the day. The emphasis is on improving clarity, confidence and understanding, rather than simply correcting symptoms.

My aim with lessons is to help owners and riders develop the feel and awareness needed to continue the work themselves, leaving you with clear, practical steps to carry on with.

How I work

One-to-One Coaching & Small Groups

One-to-one sessions and small group lessons allow for tailored, practical coaching that reflects the individual horse, rider and situation.

Sessions may include groundwork, ridden work, or a combination of both, depending on what is appropriate and safe on the day. The focus is always on clarity, feel and timing, with owners and riders actively involved in the process rather than watching from the sidelines.

Where appropriate, riders are given clear, progressive steps to work on between sessions, helping to build confidence and understanding.

Stand-Alone Clinics

I run a range of stand-alone clinics that can be hosted at private yards or venues. These clinics are structured but flexible, allowing time to observe, ask questions and learn from others as well as your own session.

Examples include:

  • Horsemanship 101 – Groundwork Foundations
A practical introduction to groundwork, covering personal space, pressure and release, emotional regulation and clarity of communication.

  • Unblock Your Horse
A clinic aimed at horses that feel stuck, tense or inconsistent, despite having a level of education. The focus is on identifying and addressing mental or physical blocks that limit progress.

These clinics are suitable for a wide range of horses and riders and can be adapted to suit the group and venue.

Progressive Clinic Series

In addition to stand-alone clinics, I also offer progressive clinic series designed for those who want to develop their horse’s training in a more structured, ongoing way.

These series allow time for learning to consolidate between sessions and for horses and riders to progress gradually, rather than trying to address everything in a single day.

Examples include:

  • In-Hand Series

    (3 Clinics)
A progressive series focusing on foundational in-hand work, helping horses develop understanding, balance and confidence over time.

  • The Foundations & Progression Series

    (6 Clinics)

A longer-term series combining groundwork and ridden coaching, aimed at building solid foundations and improving consistency, communication and feel.

Progressive series are best suited to small, committed groups and are run by arrangement.

Hosting a Clinic

If you’re interested in hosting a clinic or series at your yard or venue, please get in touch to discuss options, suitability and availability.

All clinics are kept intentionally small to ensure a calm atmosphere and meaningful learning for both participants and spectators..

I offer freelance horse training and coaching, working with horses and riders at their own yards across the UK and Ireland.

My approach is calm, thoughtful and un-rushed, with an emphasis on understanding, safety and long-term progress rather than quick fixes.

If you feel this way of working might be a good fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
